Casting: The Job

Quick update: Just had the first casting session for a short film I'll be directing in April tentatively called The Job. It's a great script about a Type A movie theater assistant manager going off the deep end when she doesn't get promoted (written extremely well by the lovely Nikkia Moulterie). It's actually a shorter form of a feature length script. We're going to pump it to festivals and producers to try to get that feature made. Ya boy.

A couple of pics. Hollerations:

Casting Location #1. How awesome are these posters?Producers producing as Katharine Hepburn looks on. Tory isn't impressed. When we got displaced from Location #1, this became our casting hub. Not a bad backup...

I'll have an update with some more fun stuff about the other short "Red Onion" as it progresses in the edit.

Life is good.

Short Film: Red Onion

I'm directing a short film called Red Onion this weekend. It's going to be a two day shoot spanning Sunday and Monday. We've been having rehearsals and pre-production up the wazoo, but I thought I'd poke my head in and give an ole update...

Here's a random screenshot from rehearsal:

Pro Tools 8 Videos = Delicious

So I know this is old news, but I was poking around the Digidesign website and noticed the vid I made announcing the release of Pro Tools 8 way back when is still being used on the main page of their site. Hollerations.

Pro Tools All Up In Yo Face!

For those of you who don't know what Pro Tools is, it's the industry standard in the audio world for recording and editing in music production, film scoring, film and television post production. Pretty much anything you've heard on the radio or in film = Pro Tools. It's like Photoshop for audio people. Ya dig?

Ok. Good stuff. I also have an update about a short film I'm directing this weekend coming around the bend.
