Anatomy of a Shot-listing Sesh

So, this Friday night we start shooting for the short film The Job. Everything is hectic but looks like this bad boy is gonna go off without a hitch... In fact, I just finished a major shotlisting sesh with my dear friend, compatriot, and d.p., Eric.

Also, I am so blown away by the gloriousness of his iPad, that I had to take a photo and post:

Shotlisting Sesh1. Semi opaque "white"-board to draw terrible representations of beautiful people

2. An Apple iPad serving as a script reader (also side note. with the new RED cameras, they're making software to go on the iPad to stream a video signal from the camera via wiFi to use it as a live monitor. Crazy? One-up time: you'll also be able to (1) smart slate with the iPad and (2) use it to control the camera's settings such as aperture, shutter speed, etc! WHAAAAAAT?)

3. Old-school white printer paper serving as a script for those unfortunate enough not to own an iPad

4. A MacBook Pro to play rehearsal videos and actually type up the shotlist... because that's the only thing the iPad can't do

5. A busy man

I swear this will look better with real people in 4kThe end! Until next time. I'll be getting no sleep...

Oh, so THIS is what you meant by "iPad is future of film industry!!!" That's RIGHT. Let all the doubters doubt, we know what's up.

I still contend that your drawing skills have gotten very creative lately. Just LOOK at those happy lines coming out of the bottom right person's face. They are happy... right?

Wow candice... nyc snob AND an apple snob :)

But yeah, I was talking to my buddy about all this new, crazy stuff about what the iPad is going to be able to do with these new cameras that are going to take over the film industry, and it's nuts. That's just the tip of the iceberg my friend!

Also, I didn't draw those pictures. But thanks for the support...

Though I did draw the happy lines!!

(you win as a friend)

That person in the top right panel only has one shoulder. Creepy.
